Essential Care for Children is a program of Home Care Buffalo and provides:
In-home medical care, emotional and spiritual support for children with life-threatening illness and their families.
Child and adolescent specialists to help the child, family, siblings and friends understand and cope with the illness.
Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care and psychosocial/spiritual interventions for assigned patients/families throughout their home care stay. Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the organization and the state Nurse Practice Act. Performs other duties as requested.
|Qualifications:||Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed in the State of New York, Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing encouraged. A minimum of two years of nursing practice as a professional nurse is preferred; however, one year of practice as a professional nurse with additional education and/or health related experience may be considered. Pediatric experience is preferred, NICU/PICU. Must have a current New York State drivers license and a car available for use when on duty or on-call.|
